Angelina Banda, Head of Taonga Day Care:
My name is Angelina Banda. I am a mother of a son who attends the school, named Lazarus. I completed my Grade 1 to Grade 9 at the Namatama Basic School, followed by Grade 10 to Grade 12 at Mukusi Secondary School in the town of Livingstone in Zambia's Southern Province.
My vision is to have a school which provides better education for our children in order to help them in the "field of life," for I believe there is no good life without an education.
My mission is to increase interest in children, and to enhance the active participation of children in the education sector, by changing mindsets and eliminating negative stereotypes attached to parents in education.
My aims are to empower young girls and boys by equipping them with honesty, diligence, integrity, and good education to help them in various fields.
I believe partnering with organizations from the private sector will help me achieve my goals and objectives.
Education is the key to success!

Jane S. Banda, Teacher
My name is Jane Banda, and I am the mother of Rebecca, who is looked after in Taonga daycare while I work as the pre-school teacher at Taonga. I completed my secondary education in 2012.
I love interacting and being with children because together we can make the change. Helping these children and their communities is my passion.
My mission is to have a better and more developed nation, with the help of our children and donors willing to come on board. These children are our future leaders, therefore they need a proper education in order to attain their aims and goals.
I personally believe in change, and I truly believe that my community here is in the process of developing in terms of education.
I would like to thank all the people who visualized creating a school here because already it has brought so much change.
Gratitude to all the donors who continue helping and bringing change!
